Intracom Telecom exhibits smart city solutions
Presents apps such as smart parking, smart lighting, traffic monitoring, waste management, and noise monitoring
Intracom Middle East, a part of Intracom Telecom group, is presenting its portfolio of smart city solutions and applications such as smart parking, smart lighting, traffic monitoring, waste management, and noise monitoring at GITEX Technology Week.
"All these solutions are presented in a unified way through its IoT platform," says Athanasios Patsakas, head of sales/business development, services business division, Intracom Telecom. "It's a platform of Intracom Telecom that supports the orchestration and monetisation of smart city services, and allows cities to save operating expenses as well as capture new revenue streams."
This year, the company is also presenting its new smart home solutions as well as connected car solutions. From the software perspective, its software business is presenting virtualised WiFi services solution. "This is a great tool for service providers as well as public and private sector organisations that want to unify and share access points. This helps them deliver new services, find new synergies and support new business models out of existing and new access points," adds Patsakas.
The company is also presenting its Big Streamer, big data analytics product at the show; this is a platform for big data analytics. It has vertical solutions for telecoms, energy, smart cities, and IoT. Patsakas says: "We are also presenting our smart metering and energy management solutions. These solutions couple with our heritage OSS/BSS solutions as well as our big data analytics solutions, to form a complete portfolio for the energy sector as well."
Intracom Telecom is also demonstrating its wireless radio portfolio at the show. "We are demonstrating here the best products in that portfolio, including the ultra high capacity UltraLinkT-GX80, which is an innovative radio for service providers moving to 5G and can offer high throughputs of up to 10 Gbit/s at a very competitive cost of ownership. We are also presenting UltraLink-BX70, an ultra-compact, all-outdoor Ethernet radio operating in the 71-76 GHz part of the E-Band spectrum, is ideally suited for use in cost-sensitive, high-capacity applications," Patsakas says.
