Palo Alto Networks secures the Cloud
Showcases the latest endeavours into the Cloud
Exhibiting for the first time in the Cloud halls of GITEX Technology Week, Palo Alto Networks is showcasing its latest endeavours into the Cloud. At its stand in Hall 6, the company is promoting how its solutions have been revamped to take on challenges within the cloud environment, as well as highlighting recent additions to its Application Framework platform.
Commenting on the advances, Ercan Aydin, vice president of Emerging Markets, Palo Alto Networks, says: "Customers will be able to utilise our security platform in order to integrate other security solutions application solutions, which will give them ability to deploy different technologies, but manage the locks and security incidents from the same management console."
The VP discussed further the cyberthreat landscape where he noted that malicious cloud-based technologies, along with ransomware, have begun to segment the market by targeting SMBs and even individuals. To counter attacks from the cloud vector, enterprises and security professionals alike need to utilise advanced technologies, such as Big Data and artificial intelligence (AI).
"Recently we've seen the rise of Remote-Access Trojans. That means they control your machine, android device, PC, or server and then they do whatever what they want," explains Aydin.
"AI is one of the technologies that we are embedding into our platform. We are using AI to help understanding the behaviours of attacker ... This way, even before the infection happens, we can take certain decisions, either in the endpoint, the network, or in the Cloud."
