Microsoft showcases intelligent cloud experience
Showcases cloud solutions for all workloads and industries
Microsoft is showcasing its cloud solutions for all workloads and industries - from education and healthcare to manufacturing and retail - at GITEX Technology Week.
Microsoft's Intelligent Cloud exhibit focuses on the all-new Azure Stack and Azure 10, on which enterprises of all types and sizes can build their hybrid clouds, by combining public and private cloud environment to seamlessly share data and applications.
The Azure 10 exhibit includes a specially selected group of 10 Azure solutions, identified by marketing, sales, and engineering leaders as having the broadest possible applicability among customers. These include Data centre transformation; back-up, archival and disaster recovery; DevTest and DevOps; Redhat on Azure; internal and customer-facing applications; and the Internet of Things.
Azure Stack is an extension of Azure that allows the delivery of Azure services from a data centre, while balancing flexibility and control, for truly consistent hybrid-cloud deployments.
Commenting on adaption of cloud, Microsoft Gulf cloud and enterprise business group lead Necip Ozyucel said: "There is really good adaption. Many customers have already started their cloud journey. And as soon as they've experienced the benefit of cloud, which gives them flexibility, immediate reach of resources, more scalability, a more secure environment, they move their whole mission critical environment. We have some customers who have shut down their entire data centres and moved to Azure. There is really good adaption, especially in industries such as retail, manufacturing, oil & gas - those are leading; and we see good adaption in government, health as well."
