VALUE-added distributor StarLink is highlighting the importance Software Defined Data Centre (SDDC) technologies to Middle East data centres operators.

Nidal Othman, managing director at StarLink explains that securing the Software Defined Data Center is an extension to traditional security controls: "While server virtualisation dramatically maximises the deployment of computing power, the Software Defined Data Center does the same for all the resources needed to host an application, including storage, networking and security.
"StarLink has developed the SDDC Technology Architecture to extend core networking and security services deployed with enterprise class scale and manageability. The architecture caters to virtualised and private and public cloud environments," he says.
