Reuters reported that the GEA's website had been targeted.

Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority (GEA) has revealed it suffered from a cyber-attack on Friday.

Reuters reported that the GEA's website had been targeted and that the attacks came from outside of the kingdom.

The GEA took to Twitter to announce it was working to solve the breach and to also prevent further impact to its related social media websites.

Part of the Vision 2030, the GEA was created to provide entertainment options for Saudis, as many were used to travelling to Dubai or further to see shows and visit amusement parks.
