With all the buzz around the iPhone X, let's not forget Apple's next generation iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.

Apple released two new iPhones, also marking the tenth anniversary of the iPhone, but at a lower price point compared to the iPhone X.

Apple's CEO Tim Cook unveiled the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, with both handsets featuring wireless charging and all-glass design and 4.7-inch and 5.5.-inch display screens, respectively. The handsets are a similar size to the existing iPhone 7 and unlike the iPhone X, the handsets still have a home button and have the top and bottom bezel.

Despite the iPhone 8 series have a ‘same same but different' feel, Apple has definitely given it an upgrade with Qi wireless changing, a higher quality camera, and it features the A11 Bionic chip.

The A11 Bionic chip features a six-core CPU design with two performance cores that are 25% faster and four efficiency cores that are 70% faster than the A10 Fusion.

The handsets are available in space grey, silver and gold, and like the iPhone X, the glass finish is made using a seven-layer colour process for precise hue and opacity, delivering an aerospace-grade aluminum bezel, and it is water and dust resistant.

The camera functionality features a dual 12-megapixel with a larger and faster sensor, a new colour filter and deeper pixels, as well as 4K video.

The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus features iOS 11, enabling an augmented reality experience and furthermore, unveiled an Apple-designed wireless charging accessory coming in 2018. The accessory offers an active charging area that will allow iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus or iPhone X customers to simultaneously charge up to three devices, including Apple Watch Series 3 and an optional wireless charging case for AirPods

The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are available in 64GB and 256GB models and will cost AED 2849 in from Apple. Customers will be able to order the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus beginning 15 September, with availability in-store from 23 September.
