Saudi Arabia's digital platforms offer insight into Hajj

In the lead-up to Hajj, the Ministry of Culture and Information (MOCI) of Saudi Arabia has unveiled two digital platforms to offer a view into Hajj.

The first platform, SaudiWelcomestheWorld.org, expresses a message of compassion to the world about the journey of millions of pilgrims of every ethnicity, race, colour and culture. It also invites the world to learn and share the values of Islam.

The second platform, www.Hajj2017.org, provides information, updates and news about Hajj 2017. Through the portal, journalists will be able to access and download media materials such as images, infographics and press releases. The portal will also allow users access to all official live stream channels.

More than 1.5 million pilgrims have already arrived in Saudi Arabia and some 500,000 more pilgrims are expected to come to perform Hajj, which starts on 30 August and ends on 4 September.
