Trend Micro to provide security services and awareness training to Abu Dhabi government
Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre (ADSIC) has signed an MoU with Trend Micro, to deploy the security company's solutions for 84 Abu Dhabi government entities.
As part of the MoU, Trend Micro will provide cybersecurity services to boost the general security environment of ADSIC and its strategic partners from the Abu Dhabi government sector, and will conduct a series of awareness workshops to support knowledge transfer.
"Providing key elements that support the technical infrastructure and cyber eco-system to the benefit of our end-users and strategic partners is a central planning and operational pillar for Abu Dhabi's e-government," said HE Rashid Lahej Al Mansouri, Director General of ADSIC.
"We continually aim to diversify and establish new partnerships with leading cybersecurity corporations based on the changing needs of our constituents, and we look forward to a productive partnership with Trend Micro," he added.
ADSIC's Director General went on to say that strategic partnerships between the public and private sectors are a catalyst for transferring knowledge and exchanging expertise in light of the Centre's vision to establish a leading digital government, driven by innovation and inspired by society.
Ihab Moawad, VP Trend Micro Mediterranean, Mid. East, Africa commented: "We understand the critical role government regulatory bodies like ADSIC play in helping to keep the Emirate of Abu Dhabi safe from cyberattacks. They have a robust ecosystem that needs constant protection, and this MOU will allow us to assist them in keeping their government and semi-government entities protected. We are now in a position to offer XGen, our industry leading and machine learning security software that addresses the full range of ever-changing threats, now and in the future at a fantastic price point, and we urge the members to get the right protection."
