Both Android and iOS users will see three new improvements.

Earlier this year Facebook began testing new ways to capture moments and now the social media giant has officially rolled out new camera features.

Both Android and iOS users will see three new improvements, in which Facebook hopes users will be encouraged to use its Stories tool.

The first camera feature will allow users to go live from the Facebook Camera where they can also add creative effects and automatically send the video to Stories and select audiences can view it.

The second feature shows its support for GIFs, and again this can be shared in Stories, as well as the News Feed or sent as Direct messages. Finally, the third improvement enables users to make their videos more visual with added text and coloured backgrounds.

These new updates appear to be taking concepts that are working on Instagram and implementing them on Facebook to encourage users to share their Stories.
