ConsenSys' newly minted Blockchain program to come to Dubai
The second phase of the newly launched program will arrive in Dubai, where high performing students will be invited to participate
On the 1 August, 2017, global Blockchain specialist Consensys will launch the ConseSys Academy Developer Program, which will comprise of two phases, the second of which will be held in Dubai.
The first phase of the end-to-end Blockhain training program will comprise of an interactive online module with a welcome video from Joseph Lubin, the co-founder of Ethereum and founder of ConsenSys.
The second phase, which will be held in Dubai, will invite high performing students within the UAE to participate and undertake end-to-end Ethereum education.
Participating students will also be exposed to several topics, which includes Low-level Lisp-like Language (LLL), a low-level access developer language for Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). Students will also familiarise themselves with LLL syntax and will be taught how to compose contracts in the language.
Receiving over 1,300 applications during the initial two-month application period, ConseSys' developer program employs a highly rigorous selection process. As part of their application process, candidates are required to complete a coding test, and much consideration is given to their respective backgrounds and personal experiences.
The competitive process narrowed down the selection of candidates with an acceptance rate of ~10%.
Since the announcement of the Dubai Blockchain Strategy 2020 by the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) and the Smart Dubai Office (SDO) in October, the UAE drawn hundreds of leading experts from across the world to help support the vision for Blockchain-powered government.
