Splunk unveils new partner portal
Move next step in the vendor’s channel overhaul and push to recruit new partners
Splunk, a machine data software developer, has gone live with a new partner portal with greatly expanded capabilities, the latest step by the vendor to expand its channel presence by boosting loyalty among its 750-plus current partners and recruiting new solution providers.
The new portal follows Splunk's recent global partner programme expansion, building on a foundation of more than 700 channel partners and push that will help the company to onboard new partners.
According to the vendor, the portal will help promote new joint business opportunities for resellers, managed service providers (MSPs) and service providers.
Brooke Cunningham, Splunk's area vice president of global partner programmes and operations, said the decision to revamp and relaunch the portal was largely based on direct feedback from the partner community. Cunningham added that Splunk's internal Partner+ Programme team also saw the need to modernise the portal's user interface, making it mobile-friendly and customisable based on partner type.
"When the Partner+ Programme was first launched in 2015, it was a key step in our journey to becoming a partner-first organisation," she said. "The programme continues to be an area Splunk is investing heavily in, with new talent, programs and resources for all partner types. The new partner portal is the next step in our commitment to Splunk's partner organisation."
Cunningham added that it has been redesigned from the ground up to provide a one-stop destination where partners can access all of the content, deal registration, marketing materials, communications and everything else they need for the Partner+ Program.
Splunk produces software for searching, monitoring and analysing machine-generated big data via a web-style interface. Its offerings in the cloud and on-premises are used by more than 13,000 customers in more than 110 countries.
The new portal offers a tailored navigation experience geared toward a company's specific partnership type.
Splunk's software offerings are distributed in the Middle East by Redington Value Distribution.
