Lenovo eyes next-gen data centre with new strategy, products
Launches new portfolio of end-to-end data centre solutions, ThinkSystem and ThinkAgile
Lenovo Middle East and Turkey and Africa (META) has set out its new regional business strategy, built around that helping regional businesses transform for the “intelligence revolution” era.
Enterprises continue to witness the emergence of a smart internet era, one where intelligence powered devices continue to extend a new scope of expedited content and services, from smartphones and TVs to virtual reality and robotics.
According to IDC’s Worldwide Semiannual Internet of Things Spending Guide, the Middle East and Africa (MEA) internet of things (IoT) market is forecast to grow 19.6% year on year in 2017 to total $7.8bn driven on the need for intelligence driven products and services to succeed in an increasingly competitive environment and meet customer demand for improved workflows, enhanced service delivery and overall customer experience.
In addition, Lenovo has launched a new set of brands, ThinkSystem and ThinkAgile, its new end-to-end data centre portfolio built on the Intel Xeon Broadwell processor family.
ThinkSystem is Lenovo’s portfolio of servers, storage and networking solutions, designed to support cloud, software-defined environments, artificial intelligence, and analytics & decision support applications.
ThinkAgile is Lenovo’s portfolio of converged systems incorporate servers, storage and networking in to one flexible and scalable system that is managed as a single entity.
