Dubai SME, Souq.com to support SMEs e-commerce journey
The MoU is part of Dubai SME’s Strategic Plan for 2021 to boost the adoption of new technologies among SMEs
Dubai SME and Souq.com have jointly launched an e-commerce initiative to support and develop small to medium-sized enterprises (SME) in the region.
Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) both companies will work together to offer Dubai SME members an array of e-commerce solutions featuring online product display, e-payment, and product delivery and logistics support, not only for the UAE but also across the Arab world.
The digital platform will offer workshops to train members launching their products online, plus monthly reports and statistics will be collected to offer best 10 products sold and the size of transactions will be monitored each month.
Abdul Basset Al Janahi, CEO of Dubai SME, said: "Dubai SME plays a vital role in promoting entrepreneurship and encouraging innovative ideas among the youth, motivating them to engage in economic activity and launching initiatives that help them grow.
"The partnership with Souq.com now will provide more opportunities for our member SMEs and open up new markets for them to achieve sustainability and competitiveness."
Dubai SME is working towards eliminating barriers and challenges facing its members through creating partnerships with government and private sector entities.
