Herbert Fuchs appointed CIO at ASGC
The new CIO has over 25 years of experience working with high profile corporations, which include GE and McDonalds.
Herbert Fuchs has been appointed by Al Shafar General Contracting (ASGC) to serve as the construction company's first chief information officer (CIO).
The new CIO is tasked in overseeing ASGC's digital transformation and meeting increasing market demand for digital technologies, as well as the sector's growing need for technology-enabled processes.

Fuchs brings more than 25 years of experience, working with globally recognised corporations. These include General Electric, ACS, Stryker, United Arab Shipping Company, and the McDonald's Corporation.
In his various roles, Fuchs was actively involved in devising company strategy, as well as creating clear paths for digital transformation. The CIO holds both an MSc in Information Security and an Executive MBA in Information and Communication Technology.

Established in 1989, ASGC quickly became a well-reputed name within the UAE's construction industry. Recently, the company completed works on Etihad Museum, The Onyx, and Marina Bloom. ASGC is currently the main contractor on both The Dubai Mall expansion and Mohamed Bin Rashid Library projects.
