TRA Innovation Camp to support UAE students in ICT
TRA organises 24 diverse activities focusing on building basic skills that help students develop their talents
The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) is bringing back its TRA Innovation Camp to entice the younger generation towards a future in ICT.
The camp aims to support the younger generation towards a technological future by developing technical skills and encouraging exploration and innovation.
The TRA Innovation Camp is held in several emirates to ensure the inclusion of the largest number of participants from the age of 6-17 years old for both girls and boys.
During the camp, TRA organises 24 diverse activities focusing on building basic skills that help students develop and refine their talents as well as encourage them to adopt entrepreneurship in general, especially in the digital world.
Activities in the camp include smart city project, safe use of technology and social networking, design and arts, creativity and industry of the future, building positive skills, ‘Year of Giving' programs and activities, volunteering and community service, and other activities.
H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, TRA director general, said: ‘Through organising this camp, the TRA seeks to promote and disseminate the culture of innovation in the ICT field among the UAE's young generation, to instill the seeds of knowledge and to encourage them to excel and innovate, as part of the efforts to build and prepare the UAE youth talents.
"This event is in line with the directives of the wise leadership in creating an innovation conducive environment that leads the UAE to top international positions in various fields. It is also a continuation of the success we have achieved in the previous editions of the camp, and a reflection of our social responsibility."
The camp begins 9th July until 10 August, with activities beginning at 8.30am until 2pm and also includes free transportation.
