Microsoft set to cut jobs in sales reorganisation
Restructure to focus on sales expected to result in job losses
Microsoft is reported to be set to make a series of job cuts, possibly numbering in the thousands, as part of a structural reorganisation of its sales division.
The company is apparently set to reorganise its sales to focus more on cloud business, according to reports, at the start of its new fiscal year in July.
The structural change will result in job losses which some media report will number in the thousands, although other reports put the number much lower. Microsoft has not officially commented so far.
TechCrunch says that the change in focus is due to changes in leadership, after COO Kevin Turner left Microsoft last year.
