SonicWall reports 50% growth in partner deal registrations
The growth signifies more than $250m in new pipeline.
SonicWall, a private network security company owned by Francisco Partners and Elliott Management, recently highlighted positive growth in firewall sales, as well as an increase in partner deal registrations amounting to $250m in new pipeline.
The company reported that its SecureFirst Partner Program, which was launched back in November 2016, saw a surge in partner growth and sales. From the 15,000 partners currently registered for SecureFirst, 4,000 are new partners to SonicWall.
Additionally, SonicWall achieved a recent milestone when it sold its three millionth firewall.
Bill Conner, president and CEO of SonicWall, said: "In fewer than eight months, SonicWall has already exceeded the ambitious financial and operational metrics established for the business. We believed in this investment from day one, and we are confident this is only the first chapter of SonicWall's success story."
He said: "Cybersecurity professionals are increasingly addressing new cyber threats, like WannaCry, by deploying a record number of SonicWall products and services. We have the right management, the right channel partners, the right technology and the right services, so businesses can run more effectively and fear less."
The company also highlighted the recent successes of SonicWall University, a real-time digital and role-based curriculum introduced back in March 2017. To date, SonicWall University has delivered over 10,000 hours of online training and overseen over 19,000 examinations. Focus specialisations included areas of ransomware, email threats and encrypted threats.
Commenting on the curriculum's success, Steve Pataky, vice president of Worldwide Sales and Channel, said: "The active engagement of our partners in our SecureFirst Partner Program and SonicWall University have exceeded our greatest expectations, with 50 per cent growth in partner deal registration that reflects $250 million in new pipeline.
"Since SonicWall became an independent company 100 per cent focused on cybersecurity and 100 per cent focused on channels, we have moved at a blistering pace to deliver cutting-edge support and education to our partners."
