WhatsApp to introduce Night Mode feature
The new feature is designed to enhance photo quality in low-light conditions
WhatsApp is going through a transformation as the popular messaging app continues to add new features, with the latest potentially being Night Mode.
WhatsApp's translation page shows a request for Night Mode, however this is not a feature to lessen the eye strain when using the app at night, instead it aims to enhance picture quality.
The Night Mode tool is actually intended for the camera UI, where it will enhance camera functionality when capturing photos in low-light conditions, as well as for video calling. The translation page also showed that the Night Mode request was for the iPhone, indicating this feature will be first seen on iOS and then Android.
So far, the camera interface features a zoom in and zoom out option, LED flash and the option to the change the camera's facing.
WhatsApp has not yet confirmed this added feature.
