Mimecast Limited, an email and data security company, has launched the Mimecast Case Review app, which is designed for the Mimecast Email Archiving service.

The app provides users the necessary tools to review critical emails for audits, compliance reviews, legal claims, and other investigations.

Additionally, the Mimecast Cast Review is equipped with Early Case Assessment (ECA) search tools that aid e-discovery admins and compliance professionals to collate and review emails and attachments in an efficient manner.

Neil Murray, CTO of Mimecast, commented: "With the impending GDPR deadline quickly approaching, admins will require a process that can quickly and accurately scan through archive data.

"Email first-pass review is a vital component of eDiscovery, but often admins are competing against tight deadlines and other priorities. Casting too wide a net for searches leads to massive amounts of data that is often redundant or obsolete.

"The Mimecast Case Review App can streamline this process, improving e-discovery effectiveness while also reducing legal costs."

Mimecast's new app is part of the company's Mimecast Enterprise Information Archiving (EIA) platform, which gained global recognition back in 2016, after being named leader within Gartner Magic Quadrant for EIA.

One of the most successful adoptions of Mimecast Email Archiving lies with the case of Texas-based law firm, Harris, Finley & Bogle, P.C. (HFB). Following the implementation, the law firm reported a 66% reduction in IT administration time.
