Careem has extended its services in Abu Dhabi by offering its customers the option to pay for their journeys using cash.

The new option allows customers to hail with Careem's Lexus cars or Toyota Previas cars with the minimum fare of AED40 to be paid in cash.

Careem resumed its full services in Abu Dhabi this February and it now plans to introduce new components to the service to improve customer experience.

Bassel Al Nahlaoui, VP Business Development and Government Relations at Careem, said: "Abu Dhabi is a key city for us and it's great to be back as the only players in the market. Giving our valued customers the opportunity to pay with cash provides them with more flexibility around how they use the service.

"Careem is very much an organic, homegrown operation- so when we are asked for something, we are driven to deliver on it. If cash is king for people in Abu Dhabi, then for sure let's make it easy for them to pay for their rides this way."

Careem recently introduced KM Bundle Packages for Abu Dhabi commuters who regularly use the service, they will benefit from discounted rates to help them manage their monthly budget on rides.
