CSA+ is designed to equip cybersecurity professionals with the skills that will help them identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.

CompTIA, global provider of vendor-neutral IT skills certifications and education, has expanded its CompTIA CertMaster online learning tool with a new course on cybersecurity skills.

CompTIA CertMaster CSA+ is an online test prep tool that maps directly to the CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CSA+) certification, which seeks to bring behavioural and network analytics to the forefront of assessing cyber threats.

“The frequency of cyber-attacks is increasing and the impacts are more devastating, evidenced by the recent WannaCry ransomware attack,” said Thomas Reilly, vice president, CompTIA Learning.

“The challenge for organisations is to invest money, time and resources in the right areas,” Reilly continued. “There is no better investment than certifications such as CompTIA CSA+ and no better training method than CompTIA CertMaster.”

CertMaster for CSA+ maps directly to the objectives of the certification exam, covering topics such as threat management, vulnerability management, cyber-incident response, and security and architecture tool sets.

More than 55,000 people have purchased CertMaster courses; and 81 percent of CertMaster customers reported that they passed their certification exam.

“CompTIA CertMaster analyses each individual’s knowledge and adapts to their unique needs, with personalised reviews and refresher tools, so it can adapt to their unique needs,” Reilly explained. “That helps to reduce study time and increase retention, leading to more success on your exam and in your career.”

CertMaster for CSA+ has earned the CompTIA Authorised Quality Control seal of approval from ProCert Labs, which means it is based on sound instructional design principles and covers all of the cybersecurity certification exam objectives.

CSA+ was created based on industry-wide feedback and contributions from cybersecurity experts, CompTIA says. It is designed to equip cybersecurity professionals organisations with the analytical skills that will help them to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities so that resources can be allocated where they are most needed before an intrusion happens.

CompTIA CSA+ is globally recognised and ISO/ANSI 17024 accredited.
