HTC’s squeezable HTC U11 enters UAE market
The HTC U11 is available in five colours and costs AED 2599
HTC has announced the availability of its HTC U11 smartphone in the UAE, costing AED 2599.
The HTC U11 is the world's first smartphone that has a squeeze feature, meaning its HTC Edge Sense allows users to squeeze the edges to perform a wide range of functions, such taking photos, accessing Facebook, or launching any installed apps. The Edge Sense is based on actual pressure applied to the side of the device.
The smartphone also features a 3D liquid glass surface, a DxOMark score of 90-the highest ever awarded to a smartphone camera, and audio from HTC USonic with Active Noise Cancellation, all wrapped in an IP67 dust and water resistant package.
The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 mobile platform, with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, as well as the introduction of HTC Sense Companion. The AI assistant optimises battery use and informs users of weather conditions, fitness progress relative to their goals, and recommendations of nearby restaurants.
Nikitas Glykas, president, HTC Middle East and Africa, said: "For HTC, it's all about innovation with purpose, and the beautiful HTC U11 ushers in a new era that defines a more natural way to interact with your smartphone.
"The powerful device packs in market-leading specifications including vibrant audio, an award-winning camera and smart digital AI companions. We have already seen keen interest from our UAE fans and customers in the pre-booking phase, and we look forward to bringing this new smartphone experience to even more consumers across the UAE."
The HTC U11 is available in Amazing Silver, Sapphire Blue, Brilliant Black, Ice White, and Solar Red for AED 2599 at selected retailers in the UAE.
