Sejel Technology picks HPE for data centre transformation
Sejel is expected to adopt the HPE Flexible Capacity consumptions model designed for online services.
HPE has revealed that it has been selected by Sejel Technology to deploy its HPE Synergy composable infrastructure platform for their data center transformation.
Sejel chose HPE Synergy to help meet the rising service level demand as required by the Ministry of Haj and Umra, which manages the annual Holy pilgrimage to Mecca and Umra.
Zoubair Skiredj, COO and CIO at Sejel Technology, said: "HPE Synergy allows us to achieve dramatic gains in data center efficiency and to accelerate application delivery."
He added: "This efficiency and speed of delivery is critical as the number of online services, as well as demand for those services, is growing all of the time. Furthermore, with the Government looking to the future with its 2030 Vision, it was an obvious decision to choose the world's first composable infrastructure platform and future-proof the data center for the years ahead."
Sejel's E-Service will take advantage of HPE Synergy's Flexible capacity model to help manage the high level of traffic experience during the Haj season. Flexible capacity can help tackle issues of unused capacity, while also provisioning compute and storage resources at a faster rate. Additionally, it can help free up IT resources for other critical projects.
Wasim Al-Baroudi, Datacenter and Hybrid Cloud country manager, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, said: "In today's idea economy, infrastructure needs to be intelligent so that it can adapt to every workload and deliver services at lightning speed," said
He added: "Our strategic partnership with Sejel and the deployment of HPE Synergy provides next generation IT solutions to accelerate the Kingdom's economy and meet the demands of the 2030 Vision. This partnership shows that the combination of advanced technology and innovative funding models is giving us a leading competitive position in the market."
