Commvault unveils VM backup and recovery trial software
The new software will allow customers to better protect their VMs throughout their lifecycle and better migrate data VMs to the public cloud.
Commvault, an enterprise backup, recovery, archive and cloud specialist, has launched a new VM Backup and Recovery trial software for customers and partners.
The new platform, which is available for free via Commvault's website introduces a number of enhancements on the user experience, disaster recovery, as well as streamlining migration processes to the cloud.
N. Robert Hammer, chairman, president and CEO of Commvault, said: "Large organisations are increasing their reliance on backup and recovery solutions that will support their enterprise-class requirements, as well as leading technologies to fully exploit the cloud as a strategic business initiative."
"As data experts, we always want to be able to provide customers with data management solutions that scale as their business evolves and power their digital transformation to overcome complex data issues to drive value and insight out of their data."
Features of Commvault's VM Backup and Recovery includes support for over 20 of the various storage vendors, over 10 hypervisors providers, as well as over 40 cloud platforms. The software allows for the creation and re-use of protection plans, recovery of specific files, such as guest data and virtual machine configurations, and also automate the disaster recovery of VMs to alternative sites.
Furthermore, Commvault's VM Backup and Recovery software is also for partners and is readily available on the newly minted Partner Demand Center, a channel marketing automation platform that Commvault launched specifically for its partner ecosystem.
The Partner Demand Center enables partners to leverage and run co-branded campaigns, such as the VM Backup and Recovery solution, and in turn, target new clients and achieve higher ROI.
