Klausner: "As Kuwait works towards its 2035 vision and greater industrialisation and digitalisation, it is important to make available the skills, knowledge and technology required to realise the full potential of local talent."

The Sabah Al Ahmad Centre for Giftedness and Creativity (SACGC), founded by Kuwait Foundation for Advancement of Sciences in Kuwait, recently announced the signing of a partnership agreement with global technology provider Siemens.

As per the agreement, Siemens will offer its SITRAIN training courses in automation, drives and plant technology to Kuwaitis, in an effort to promote knowledge and build local talent.

In addition to committing their own resources, Siemens and SACGC will actively engage with universities and applied science and technology institutes, to supply their own experts to the project. Similarly, Siemens and SACGC will collaborate with the various entrepreneurs, ministries, oil companies, and factories, to provide their own engineers.

Herbert Klausner, CEO, Siemens in Kuwait, said: "As Kuwait works towards its 2035 vision and greater industrialisation and digitalisation, it is important to make available the skills, knowledge and technology required to realise the full potential of local talent.

"We recognise that people are a country's greatest asset, and we're proud to be working with SACGC to support an education system which promotes innovation, research and technology in pursuit of an increasingly industrialised, knowledge-based economy."

Siemens' certification and training programs will be held at the SACGC training facilities in Sharq, Kuwait City. SACGC's academy is equipped with the latest teaching and industrial aids, and course content is constantly evaluated against evolving industry standards and advanced technologies.

Dr. Omar Abdul Khaleq Al Bannai, general manager, Sabah Al Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity said: "The signing of the mutual cooperation agreement with Siemens allows us to achieve our common goals such as promoting a culture of creativity, expertise and knowledge exchange in the industrial and technological landscape.

"The agreement also aims to change the community's perception of industry by providing an inspiring environment, such as the industrial workshop at the Talent Academy."
