Siemens roadshow to focus on key success factors behind digitisation
Following its start in Dubai, Siemen’s roadshow series will also stop in Abu Dhabi, Kuwait City, Cairo and Doha.
Following the first stop of the series that was held in Dubai on the 3 May, 2017, the Siemens Digitalization Roadshow is slated to move on to other major cities across MENA over the next few months.
The event, which explored several key factors critical to developing a successful ecosystem for digitisation, is next expected to stop in Abu Dhabi on 23 May, 2017, before moving on to Kuwait City, Cairo, and then wrapping up in Doha.
Bringing together leaders from a number of industries, the event featured a number of debates and keynotes, which emphasised the importance of skills, collaboration and the right mind-set, as the key ingredients in promoting digital transformation.
During his opening keynote, Samer Bohsali, partner and leader of the Digital Business and Technology practice at Strategy&, asserted: "Digitalisation is happening now - we have to embrace it
"You need to ask yourself where you want to be. Do you want to use digitalisation to facelift your organisation? Or do you want to be disruptive? If you really want to protect yourself from the competition, you have to go as far as you possibly can."
Dietmar Siersdorfer, CEO, Siemens Middle East and UAE, shared: "Our intention with the roadshows is to encourage open, honest and meaningful dialogue between key stakeholders in the digital transformation."
He added: "We want to address the challenges, share knowledge and develop a roadmap for the implementation of digitalisation, building stronger businesses, economies and societies."
Outside of the recent roadshow announcement, Siemens entered into the spotlight as a Premier Partner for Intelligent Infrastructure and Operations for Expo 2020 Dubai. Additionally, the company is also set to deploy MindSphere, an open operating systems for IoT, a useful platform for its energy and building management services.
