The Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre for Government Innovation (MBRCGI) has held a session of its Innovator's Network, which is focused on bringing innovation to government.
The latest session focused on the environment and sustainability, bringing together specialists from around the world to discuss innovative ideas, global trends, and best practices in the field.
The Innovator's Network is intended to provide a platform for Innovation leaders and teams within government entities to discuss issues in different sectors to help government to develop solutions to the challenges in each centre.
The session brought together "CEOs of Innovation" from several government entities, representatives from the Emirates Environmental Group, officials from the Bee'ah Sharjah Environment Company, as well as social media influencers and individuals involved in the environment and sustainable sector. Her Excellency Engineer Mariam Hareb Al Muhairi, Assistant Undersecretary for Water Resources and Nature Conservation Affairs at the Ministry of Climate Change and the Environment, spoke at the session, which was led by Saeed Ghobash, Senior Manager at DEWA's Investment, Planning and Business Support Department.
Huda Al Hashemi, Assistant Director-General of Strategy and Innovation at the Prime Minister's Office of the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and the Future, noted that the Innovators' Network is a platform for the CEOs of Innovation and other members of the innovation teams - as well as employees of any innovative projects in government entities - to come together and discuss the state of priority sectors in the UAE, creating an open an interactive dialogue that supports the government's efforts to develop these sectors and propose innovative solutions for the challenges that face them.
The Innovators' Network was established in 2016; it includes 46 CEOs of Innovation in various federal government entities, as well as local experts. Members of the network exchange experiences and insights, and harmonise strategies between federal and local authorities to achieve the UAE Vision 2021.
