Centrify announces appointment of EMEA channel director
John Andrews will be responsible for driving the company’s long-term channel strategy in the Middle East and Europe.
Centrify, a specialist firm involved in securing hybrid enterprises, has announced the appointment of John Andrews as its new EMEA Channel Director.
Reporting to Andy Heather, vice president and managing director for EMEA, Andrews will be responsible in devising and heading the company's long-term channel strategy. This will include bolstering the company's core set of distribution partners and VARs across the Middle East, as well focusing on the UK, DACH, Northern Europe and Southern Europe markets.
Andrews has signed on with Centrify following a 18-year stint with BeyondTrust, where he helped develop the company's channel presence across the Middle East and APAC market. Prior to that, he served as marketing director for Computerlinks Distribution for three years, where he managed a portfolio comprising of more than 25 security-focused vendors.
Commenting on this new role, John Andrews, shared: "We have built up a strong channel network across EMEA over the past few years, but now is the time to assess these relationships to ensure our partners have the right skill set, product alignment and are committed to adding real value to our mutual customers."
"We also want to ensure we are working with channel partners that can offer specialist skills and routes into core vertical markets, including banking, retail and telcos. Our strength is the identity message, which plays into every part of the security sell, from privileged access management and single sign on to multi-factor authentication and identity as a service (IaaS).
"My primary goal is to support our channel partners in delivering this message to customers who are struggling to manage identity and access in today's diverse environments, incorporating hybrid cloud, mobile and data centre," added Andrews.
As one of his first responsibilities in his new role, Andrews is expected to evaluate over 250 partners and focus on establishing a top 10 tier of VARs in each region under his management. Furthermore, the company is expected to launch an enhanced virtual training platform, designed specifically for partners, which will bring participating firms up-to-speed on the Centrify's service capabilities.
