Redington Value, a value-added distributor, has announced that it has signed an agreement with Palo Alto Networks to deliver the vendor's next-generation security platform to resellers and their customers in Egypt.

Redington Value, which already has distribution rights for Saudi Arabia, will now expand its network to distribute the Palo Alto Networks security solutions in the Egypt market.

"We are delighted to have expanded our distribution agreement with a market leader in the next-generation security market," said Ramkumar Balakrishnan, president, Redington Value. "We believe Palo Alto Networks adds considerable value to our existing portfolio of leading security technologies. Our newest agreement further cements our position as the market-leading security solutions distributor in Egypt, with the ability to deliver outstanding support to our channel partners and their customers. With Palo Alto Networks game-changing security platform, deep cybersecurity expertise and commitment to innovation, resellers and their customers can confidently pursue a digital-first strategy and embark on new technology initiatives, such as cloud and mobility."

Jason Beal, director, EMEA distribution at Palo Alto Networks, said: "This agreement offers a great opportunity for partners in the Egypt market to provide to more customers our unique security capabilities that prevent successful cyberattacks and safely enable applications. Redington Value, with its extensive network of value-added resellers and their customers, can benefit from the advanced security features our platform offers."

The Palo Alto Networks next-generation security platform was built from the ground up for breach prevention, with threat information shared across security functions system-wide, and is designed to operate in increasingly mobile, modern networks. By combining network, cloud and endpoint security with advanced threat intelligence in a natively integrated security platform, Palo Alto Networks safely enables all applications and delivers highly automated, preventive protection against cyber threats at all stages in the attack lifecycle, without compromising performance. Customers benefit from superior security, as compared to that provided by legacy or point products, and realise a better total cost of ownership.
