Emirates Hospitals Group implements InterSystems TrakCare
The healthcare group will be the first to adopt healthcare information system.
InterSystems, a company specialised in health information technology, has announced that the Emirates Hospitals Group, a UAE-based healthcare provider, will be implementing its InterSystems TrakCare unified healthcare information system.
Following the implementation, Emirates Hospitals Group will be the first private chain to deploy the healthcare information systems across all its healthcare facilities.
Pramod Balakrishnan, CEO of Emirates Hospitals Group, at the TrakCare, commented: "At Emirates Hospitals Group, we are committed to adopting best-in-class technology solutions to drive digital transformation. We believe this will enable our patients to have better clinical outcomes. We chose TrakCare to further improve our care delivery in many areas. These areas include patient safety, patient record availability, and overall integration of data. This will help us provide even better patient care."
The platform allows healthcare professionals to create a comprehensive view of each patient's history, and can access this data on any authorised mobile device. Additionally, the group's staff will also have access to TrakCare's community portal, which gives healthcare organisations access to a list of extensible solutions to support the creation of engaged patient communities.
Michel Amous, InterSystems managing director for Middle East, Italy, and India, shared: "Today, most private healthcare organizations are looking at adopting the latest healthcare IT systems. They know that this will help them to provide safer, faster, and more efficient healthcare services. TrakCare as a service will enable private hospitals and clinics to achieve this without making major capital expenditures.
"InterSystems is proud to be working with Emirates Hospitals Group on this project, which will benefit many patients in the UAE. The hospital is joining a large and growing community of clients across 25 countries, who work closely with InterSystems to benefit from the global best practices built into TrakCare," added Amous.
