SAP unveils latest technology for connected vehicles
The company is working in close collaboration with Concur Technologies, Hertz and Nokia.
SAP SE has announced the launch of a new technology geared towards connected vehicles.
The SAP Vehicles Network solution, part of the SAP Leonardo portfolio, delivers an automated experience for users that covers everything from car rental to parking, fuelling payment and integrated navigation, as well as expense management for business travellers.
The announcement marks the latest development under an Internet-of-Things (IoT) collaboration that SAP is engaged with companies, such as Concur Technologies, Hertz and Nokia.
The enterprise technology providers also announced the joining of Mojio, a connected vehicle platform and app provider for Deutsche Telekom and T-Mobile USA, to the SAP Vehicles Network. Mojio will provide parking and fuelling services through its app in the US and Europe.
Built upon the SAP Cloud Platform, the SAP Vehicles Network gives participating companies access to mobility services that in turn can be offered to both drivers and passengers.

SAP's announcement for its new vehicle technology were made during Mobile World Congress 2017, which ran from the 27 February to 2 March in Barcelona, Spain.
