Ingram Micro expands cloud marketplace across META
Ecosystem brings together buyers and sellers to conduct business on a single platform
Ingram Micro Cloud has announced expansion of its Cloud Marketplace to Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.
This expansion comes in response to significant opportunity for solution providers in the cloud services market in the META region, where demand for cloud computing has been growing steadily, the company says.
2016 has been a banner year for Ingram Micro Cloud’s growth and expansion, with 30 Cloud Marketplaces operating worldwide throughout North and South America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
As an ecosystem that brings together buyers and sellers to conduct business on a single platform, the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace is designed to lower the barriers for entry for resellers and allows them to more effectively sell cloud solutions to the market with minimal investment.
Rather than building out a comprehensive and multi-layered infrastructure, resellers can leverage the pre-built platform from Ingram Micro Cloud to purchase, provision, manage and invoice technology solutions for their end-user customers. The entire process is automated, with the aim of empowering resellers to grow their cloud business faster by accelerating time-to-market and eliminating operational complexities.
The platform became first available in the Middle East in late October of 2016, kicking off an expansion programme across multiple countries in the region including Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and United Arab Emirates.
Cloud solutions currently offered through the Cloud Marketplace include Microsoft Office 365 via the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program, a suite of migration services from SkyKick, Dropbox for Business and BitTitan migration and deployment tools. Additional solutions are expected to be added in 2017.
