du takes a step towards faster fibre broadband with Nokia
du has successfully tested Nokia's Time and Wavelength Division Multiplexing Passive Optical Network fibre technology
UAE telco du has successfully tested Nokia's Time and Wavelength Division Multiplexing Passive Optical Network (TWDM-PON) fibre technology in its lab, supposedly reaching aggregate speeds of 40 Gbps.
This can help du to upgrade its existing GPON network to the next-generation with XGS-PON or TWDM-PON on a single fibre. Currently offering 1 Gbps services in the UAE, du continues to innovate.
