ASUS is Taiwan’s most valuable global brand in 2016: Interbrand
IT vendor tops annual survey for fourth consecutive year, with brand value at US$1.748 billion
ASUS has been recognized as Taiwan’s No. 1 international brand for the fourth consecutive year at the Best Taiwan Global Brands Awards 2016.
Hosted by Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs and Interbrand, a leading brand consultancy, these awards are a key indicator of how Taiwanese brands are performing on the global market. At the awards ceremony, Interbrand announced that the No. 1 company now has an estimated brand value of US$1.748 billion.
“We are honoured to be ranked as Taiwan’s most valuable brand at the Best Taiwan Global Brands Awards for the fourth time,” said ASUS CMO Rex Lee, who received the award on behalf of the company. “ASUS has grown significantly over the past 27 years but we have kept our passion for design and innovation. This award is a humbling recognition of our efforts, and we look forward to continue to deliver exciting and pioneering products and services.”
ASUS had a successful 2016, with broad recognition within the areas of design and innovation. ASUS set a new record for the number of wins at the 2016 iF Product Design Awards with 13 wins, and at the 2016 Red Dot Design Awards with 15 wins.
ASUS also unveiled the third-generation of its Zen-inspired products including the ZenFone 3 Series and ZenBook 3. Its gaming brand, ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG), hit a milestone by celebrating a decade of creating gaming gear.
ZenFone 3 Deluxe is the flagship smartphone in the ZenFone 3 Series, a full-metal smartphone with an invisible antenna design. It features a 23MP camera and the latest Sony IMX318 image sensor. ZenBook 3 is the company’s next-generation tablet with a sleek 11.9mm chassis, an Intel Core i7 processor and 16GB of 2133MHz RAM.
On the tenth anniversary of ROG, ASUS unveiled the latest ROG product line-up includes ROG GX800, the world’s first liquid-cooled gaming laptop and Aura Sync, technology for RGB LED lighting performance.
