All set for DCG business symposium
Networking event aims to find answers to pressing channel challenges
The Dubai Computer Group (DCG) has announced it will this evening host a Business Symposium and Networking Event to support its members find answers to some of the most pressing challenges in a volatile business landscape.
The event, which kicks off at 18:30 todat at JW Marriot Marquis, in Dubai's Business Bay area, is expected to have a full attendance.
The symposium will cover many topics on the challenges the industry is facing and come up with solutions to tackling the issues of trade finance, credit risk, compliance, credit re-structuring, credit insurance management, project financing and converging organisation governance
Shailendra Rughwani, president, DCG said: "I am proud today to see DCG, a group which we had started 11 years back has now grown as a full-fledged community, a symbol of unity for the IT companies operating in Dubai. The Networking event was an idea envisioned last year is getting huge response from members and non-members alike and wev expect it to become one of the most important event for IT resellers to attend."
Rughwani added that the event has been designed to bring prominent personalities from different sectors and the IT channel to interact with DCG members to enhance business for the computer group. "We would like to thank all the members and the Board of DCG for this huge success," he said.
Dharmendra Sawlani, general secretary, DCG, added that: "Today's DCG Business Symposium and Networking is the third event in our series on the concept of ‘Bridging Business and Connecting Ideas'. The message we endeavor to pass on to the industry via this event is that for us to succeed in this rapidly changing world of technology, we have little choice but to evolve and innovate."
Sawlani said it was important that DCG members and the entire IT channel in Dubai to improve the business practices and manage financial risks better. "I believe that we do have that efficacy. What our industry is facing today is the challenge of business innovation," he noted. "Events like these are opportunities for our members to brainstorm and tackle impediments to their growth and progress in the market."
