A10 Networks, a leading secure application services company, has announced the appointment of Mohammed Al-Moneer to the position of regional director, Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Al-Moneer, an industry veteran with over sixteen years of diversified industry experience, will be responsible for the overall direction and management of all sales and business development operations in the MENA region, while working closely with channel partners to provide customer centric solutions to the public and private sectors.

Commenting on the appointment, Henk Jan Spanjaard, vice president of EMEA Sales at A10 Networks says, “Mohammed has the right mix of industry knowledge, business acumen and leadership skills to drive continued growth for A10 Networks in the region. Through his leadership, we aim to increase A10’s regional market share by investing in people, education and partner enablement.”

Mohammed has held various sales leadership positions at networking and other high tech   companies, most recently at Infoblox where he served as regional manager for Saudi Arabia. Prior to that he worked as territory sales manager for enterprise servers, storage and networking at HP.

“I am excited to take up this position at A10 Networks and have the opportunity to drive the brand forward in the region. The company has pioneered a new generation of application networking technologies with a wide choice of virtualised and hybrid appliances as well as an innovative on-demand licensing model that is a very attractive proposition to customers. With A10’s recent launch of the world’s most powerful DDoS protection solution to mitigate colossal cyberattacks, we are helping MENA region service providers and enterprises fight back against the rising DDoS onslaught so they can be proactive, not reactive,” says Al-Moneer.

In his new role at A10 Networks, Al-Moneer will develop go-to-market strategies and work with the company’s global sales and marketing organisations to define and accelerate channel recruitment and sales programs.  In order to leverage customer demand for high performance application delivery networking solutions, A10 Networks’ partners need to be able to deliver strategic counsel and technical excellence and as such, partner training and enablement is high up on the agenda.
