Redington Value unveils new consulting arm for META
Uniplum to enable channel partners find solutions for business problems in transformation technologies
Redington Value, the value-added distribution division of Redington Gulf, has launched Uniplum, a new consulting arm that aims to enhance its channel partners' capabilities in transformation technologies such as cloud, big data, Internet of Things (IoT) and digital disruptions.
According to the company, Uniplum consists of a team of technologists and problem solvers from different verticals and solutions with the ability to inform, explore and confirm decisions, solve complex problems and bring new ideas into the market.
An integral part of Redington Value, the new division aims to provide consulting on new technology and solutions for numerous verticals and help partners to sell those solutions.
Ramkumar Balakrishnan, president, Redington Value Distribution, said Uniplum will enable channel partners to help their clients find solutions for simple to complex business problems and nurture innovation.
"With Uniplum, we are excited to offer this bouquet of consulting services to our vast partner network in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META) region and bring the right capabilities for their clients," he said. "Partners will not only be able to leverage these cutting-edge consulting services, but also be able to address the requirements of their mid-market and enterprise customers, to solve business problems and challenges, and to win business in the next generation disruptive technologies' space."
Balakrishnan added that the setting up of the new consulting arm is an attempt to help Redington Value Distribution's partners embrace all these new technological trends and stay ahead of the game in a highly competitive environment.
"If you consider all these game changers such as cloud, mobility, IoT and the whole converged infrastructure including big data and analytics, they are not just products but a whole gamut of solutions. The most important aspect is to enhance our partners' abilities to sell these solutions," he explained. "And to do that, they need to understand what the underlying business problems are and there comes the need for greater consultation and collaboration."
The launch of Uniplum complements Redington Value Distribution's Red Vault, a fully functional solutions centre with one of the largest interactive transparent display in the region. The integrated touch panels of the solutions centre connect to fully operational control and training rooms running live demos on various solutions and integrates more than 40 different solutions from different vendors, making it a true multi-vendor environment.
"Both the solutions centre and Uniplum are geared towards enabling our partners' transformation from being product-centric to becoming solutions-centric. Our idea is to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions from strategy and innovation through to execution to solve our clients' most complex and pressing business challenges," Balakrishnan emphasised.
Uniplum will be introduced across Redington Value divisions in the META and expanded to other regions in a phased manner.
