Sony Mobile has announced the launch of Xperia XZ, its new flagship smartphone in the UAE market.

Xperia XZ features Sony’s new Triple Image Sensing technology that the company says helps capture blur-free photos even with subjects in motion, in beautiful true to life colour. Triple Image Sensing is designed to enable smoother videos, even when walking or capturing extreme close-ups with its 5-Axis video stabilization with SteadyShot. Other key features of Xperia XZ include a 23MP rear camera, 13MP front selfie camera, a 5.2” display, 64GB built-in storage and up to 2 times Battery lifespan.

“Our new flagship, Xperia XZ, offers an even more intelligent and personalised experience. It assists you when and where it matters most, making your everyday lives more convenient, more effortless, more spontaneous,” said Jason Smith, Vice President, Middle East & Africa at Sony Mobile Communications. “With Xperia XZ, you can capture every moment as you see it, with blur-free images day or night, and with true to life colours thanks to our new Triple Image Sensing technology and its 23MP rear camera.”

Sony’s first flagship of the X series, Xperia XZ brings new and improved camera technology. Maximising Sony’s image sensor, two additional assisting sensors have been added to become Sony’s Triple Image Sensing technology. This allows the capture of images in motion with true to life colours in virtually any conditions. The 23MP also delivers fast start-up going from standby to capture in 0.6seconds at the touch of a dedicated shutter release button.

Advanced features have been added for those who want more flexibility with manual settings, such as shutter speed and focus controls.

The Xperia XZ brings further evolution of image stabilization, cultivated in Sony’s Handycam camcorders, with Sony’s SteadyShot and Intelligent Active Mode to enable better videos.

Xperia XZ features a 13MP front camera with sensitivity as high as ISO6400 and 22mm/90-degree wide angle lens for better selfies even in low-light and group selfies.

The Xperia XZ features a loop surface design, with the 5.2” glass display blending into the metal back to provide a more comfortable fit. The Xperia XZ is available in forest blue, mineral black and platinum. Sony also water resistant design to the Xperia XZ.

Xperia XZ features new Battery Care complemented by Qnovo adaptive charging, designed to keep to make the lifespan last up to twice as long, according to Sony.

The Xperia XZ is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 with X12 LTE modem.
