Hitachi announces appointment of regional sales director and GM for ME and Pakistan
Assaad El Saadi will be responsible for spearheading Hitachi’s development in the Middle East and Pakistan.
The Hitachi Data Systems Corporation (HDS), recently announced the appointment of Assad El Saadi as the regional sales director and general manager for Middle East and Pakistan.
Saadi will be responsible for HDS' development and growth in the region, as well as continuing to expand the company's digital transformation offerings.
Tom Pegrume, Emerging EMEA VP, HDS, shared: "Assaad has an excellent track record and will play a key role in expanding HDS' business within the Middle East and Pakistan. His appointment comes at a time when HDS is growing in the region and thriving in digital transformation. Boasting over 20 years of experience working in the IT market in the Gulf Region, HDS' new regional sales director and GM held previous positions at Sun Microsystems, SAS Institute, Mideast Data Systems and Xerox.
Saadi played a vital role during Oracle's acquisition of Sun Microsystems, where he and his team successfully maintained and expanded market share by introducing market IT offerings based on engineered or converged systems, as well as traditional hardware.
Commenting on his appointment, Saadi said: "Recently, HDS has made substantial progress in the Middle East and Pakistan region, and I am looking forward to continue to build and strengthen the ties with existing customers, and grow relationships and solutions for new customers following HDS strategic approach.
