Smart Dubai Office promotes Happiness Agenda
Delegation visits strategic partners KHDA and RTA to discuss plans for Happiness Agenda
Smart Dubai Office has continued its mission to promote Dubai's Happiness agenda, with visits to two strategic partner organisations.
Delegations from SDO, led by HE Dr Aisha Bin Butti Bin Bishr, Director General of Smart Dubai Office (SDO), have visited the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) and Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) to discuss the happiness agenda and Dubai's plans for an internationally benchmarked program to develop happiness.
At KHDA, Dr Bin Bishr met HE Dr Abdulla Al Karam, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director General of KHDA; while at RTA she was received by the RTA's happiness strategy team represented by HE Yousef Jawad Al Redha, head of the team, and HE Abdullah Al Madani, deputy head of the team and CEO of RTA's Corporate Technical Support Services.
HE Dr Bin Bishr said: "The happiness agenda, which has been approved by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, is primarily aimed at formulating a strategy related to happy life experiences that are based on scientific and academic theories. This strategy is designed to guide decision-makers and entities from both the government and private sectors to identify the impact of policies, programmes and new projects on the concerned customers, including citizens, residents, visitors and businesses."
The Dubai Happiness plan includes 16 programmes in four strategic portfolios - Discover, Measure, Change and Educate - with the aim of achieving an unprecedentedly sustainable level of happiness for Dubai.
HE Dr Al Karam of KHDA commented on the meeting: "We continue with our ongoing journey to boost the level of happiness of our students and society according to the keen vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed who have urged to bolster Dubai's competitiveness and support the goals of its strategic plan. This will not only provide the highest level of happiness and well-being but also become the emirate's efficient partner in becoming the world's happiest and smartest city."
"It is an honour for the KHDA to be included in the list of happiness pioneers, having been honoured by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed as the first foundation to excel in implementing the most comprehensive programme of the Happiness Meter in Dubai," he added.
HE Abdullah Al Madani at RTA said: "The RTA is always keen on using the latest IT updates to ease all online procedures and transactions in order to be in the lead in this domain, which has become one of the most fundamental pillars of modern life. The RTA has bagged an award for its tireless efforts in this field by implementing the best global technical practices with respect to expanding, enhancing and providing GIS services in a steady manner."
