Silver Peak’s SD-WAN offering awarded VMware Ready status
The company’s Unity EdgeConnect attained VMware’s highest level of recognition and can be now found on the VMware Solution Exchange.
Silver Peak Systems, a designer and manufacturer for wide area network products, was recently awarded VMware Ready status for Network Functions Virtualization (NFV).
In addition to receiving the company's highest level of recognition, Silver Peak's Unity EdgeConnnect, a SD-WAN platform, was also incorporated into the VMware Solution Exchange.
EdgeConnect gives IT organisations increased visibility over traffic traversing the WAN. Compatible with both legacy and cloud applications, and boasting a broadband quality of service (QoS), end-users are able to centrally designate business policies over managed WAN traffic. The platform is a viable answer to enhance or even replace MPLS networks with any form of broadband connectivity.
John Vincenzo, chief marketing officer, Silver Peak said: "Silver Peak's EdgeConnect not only stands up in VMware Ready testing for NFV, but has a proven track record among enterprises of all sizes and industries of delivering a complete SD-WAN and hybrid WAN solutions."
"We are excited that our long-standing relationship with VMware continues to evolve and we look forward to helping our mutual customers build a better WAN."
Howard Hall, senior director, Global Technology Partnering Organization, VMware, shared: "We are pleased that Silver Peak qualifies for the VMware Read logo, signifying to customers that it has met specific VMware interoperability standards and works effectively with VMware infrastructure, which can speed time to value within customer environments."
