Oman and Bahrain share knowledge on government eTendering
Delegates from Bahrain discussed the success of Oman's electronic government tendering system.

The Information Technology Authority (ITA) of Oman has received a delegation from Bahrain, to discuss the electronic tendering system in use in the Sultanate.

HE Huyam Mohammed Ismail Al-Awadhi, Secretary General of the Tender Board for the Kingdom of Bahrain led the delegation, which was received by Dr. Salim Bin Sultan Al-Ruzaiqi, CEO of ITA.

The visit was intended to familiarize the delegation with Oman's government eTendering project, the first of its kind in the Sultanate, and its role in managing and automating government tenders, and providing services to vendor companies during the tendering and awarding process.

HE Huyam Mohammed Ismail Al-Awadhisaid: "Our visit to Oman serves the cooperation between the GCC countries in the field of ICT in general and between Oman and the Kingdom of Bahrain in particular and to benefit from Oman's unprecedented experience in the automation of tendering process."

"We heard excessively about Oman's experience in eTendering and that is what encouraged us to visit Oman. In our part, we'll transfer Bahrain's experience to the Omanis in the best interest of both countries in the field of the provision of easy and reliable eServices which can help in improving various fields especially commerce and economy sectors," she added.
