Zeidan will lead efforts for Unify's global go-to-market channel transformation in the region.

Unify, the Atos brand for communications software and services, has appointed Feras Zeidan as the new vice president for Middle East and Africa.

In the new role, Zeidan will lead the efforts to continue Unify's global go-to-market channel transformation in the region.

Unify said with 25 years of experience in the channel, Zeidan assumes the role during an important time for the company, which has undergone global transformation to a channel-centric go-to-market approach.

"Middle East and Africa represents a significant opportunity for Unify and it is crucial that we continue strengthening our channels in this part of the globe," said Thomas Veit, senior vice president, EMPAC, channels at Unify. "Feras has deep experience in the channel and we are very confident in his ability to continue to develop our partner base and expand our business."

Commenting on his appointment, Zeidan added: "I am very excited about joining Unify. It has a long and distinguished heritage, and yet has an agenda to reinvent itself and the industry. Cloud-based delivery opens up entirely new consumption and distribution models and I see Unify as perfectly positioned to innovate new ways for enterprise users to access the best collaboration tools."

Before joining Unify, Zeidan spent seven years at Avaya, where he led a regional sales team with a focus on developing new business across large influential customers, working on a high-touch sales model and engaging partners to deliver value through integration and services. Prior to Avaya, he held a number of senior sales positions at Juniper, TechData, ITP and Farabi Networks.
