BDL Group debuts at CeBIT 2016
Regional distributor sets eyes on expanding its mobile devices trading business
Regional IT distributor BDL Group, has announced it's participating at CeBIT in Hannover, Germany from 14th to 18th March 2016 as part of a wider plan to expand its reach into Europe.
According to the Dubai-headquartered broadline distributor, this is the first year in which BDL Group is participating at CeBIT and it's exhibiting its array of smartphones, tablets and other accessories through the GSM Exchange.
The company said it's delight to debut at CeBIT 2016 as the trade show will give BDL a launch pad to showcase the tablet and smartphone array from vendors it represents that include Apple, Samsung, Lenovo, Huawei, HTC, LG and Quantum.
The company stated that it's at CeBIT to meet with potential channel partners as it has ambitions to grow the mobile handset trading business in Europe.
Osama Mekawy, general manager, EMEA at BDL Group, said the company is participating at CeBIT to take the first move in entering the European markets by promoting its mobile handset trade business. "Aside from our traditional IT distribution, we specialise in mobile devices trading and represent premium brands including Apple, Samsung, Lenovo, Huawei, HTC, LG and Quantum," he said. "We are at the show to exhibit and meet with potential partners based in Europe."
Mekawy said BDL is showcasing its range of products in the Planet Reseller section in Halls 14 and 15. "We believe our participation this year will open new business avenues for us especially in Eastern Europe, where we already have as resellers we work with," he said. "We want to me with traditional resellers, retailers and partners service the telecoms space."
He said aside from exhibiting and promoting the various mobile handset brands, the company is also participating in the OEM Connect conference, where it will present a keynote about BDL and its trading business. "We want to meet and hear from partners that will attend the conference as that will also open us up to meet with potential partners," he said.
Mekawy emphasised that beyond CeBIT 2016, BDL Group is looking to expand its mobile handset trading business in Europe, Western Asia and Africa by appoint strategic channel partners that understand this business well. "While this is our first participation, we are hoping to participate at many future trade shows," he added.
