Quantum Global partners with PC Jordan
Distributor will supply resellers and retailers the vendor’s tablet and smartphone array in Jordan
Quantum Global, the OEM mobile device brand and manufacturer of tablets, smart phones, hybrid PCs and accessories, has announced it has appointed PC Jordan as its authorised distributor for Jordan.
In terms of the agreement, PC Jordan has been granted rights to distribute Quantum Global's entire tablet and flagship Titano smartphone handsets to retailers and the traditional reseller channels across Jordan.
In addition, PC Jordan will develop Quantum's channel business in the retail and consumer electronics sector, and dealer channels. The distributor has also been given rights to provide after-sales support under the Quantum Authorised Service Provider (QASP) programme.
According to Quantum, signing PC Jordan, one of the leading broadline and retail-focused distributors in Jordan and the Levant, gives it the opportunity to cement its footprint and grow its business in the retail and dealer channels in that country.
Tamer Ismail, CEO at Quantum Global, said the company is delighted to have partnered with PC Jordan to develop the business in the Kingdom of Jordan.
Ismail said Quantum selected PC Jordan because of its strong channel credentials, financial stability, strong presence in the retail and reseller channels, and the ability to provide post-sales support to end user clients on behalf of channel partners. "After meeting with PC Jordan's management, we were impressed with the company's capability especially in providing after-sales support," he said. "As we move to develop in-country markets in EMEA, we felt it was crucial that we sign with a distributor that is able to provide pre- and post-sales support to partners and their end user customers."
Ismail added that PC Jordan meets all the criteria Quantum looks for in a distributor.
Mohamed Shafik, distribution director, EMEA at Quantum Global, added that: "We have in PC Jordan a reputable distributor that will help us to expand our mobile devices offerings in Jordan. The aim is to address both the retail and reseller segments ensuring that Quantum's range of tablets and smartphones is reaching all consumers in the country."
Shafik said PC Jordan not only fits with Quantum's channel philosophy, but the company's strong presence in the retail and reseller channels will help Quantum to grow its footprint in the two sectors in Jordan. "We are aiming to have 5% market share in the smartphone segment by the end of 2016," he outlined. "We believe we are on track and having PC Jordan on-board will help us to achieve this goal."
"We are optimistic about this new partnership with Quantum Global as the company has continued to grow steadily since it launched its mobile devices over 18 months ago," said Mohammed Saleh Katout, managing director at PC Jordan.
Katout added:"Our new relationship with Quantum will not only reinforce our product offerings, but will also open new business avenues in both the retail sector and reseller channels. In addition, the alliance will also give us access to a different channel segment in Jordan as Quantum has compelling smartphone and tablet devices."
He said as a vendor that focuses a lot on providing quality products, it won't be long for Quantum to become another big name in the smartphone and tablet segment in Jordan. "We are happy about the partnership because it will also open more opportunities on the services and post-sales support side," Katout noted.
Shafik pointed out that with the signing of this agreement with PC Jordan, retail and reseller partners in Jordan can expect to get more professional and efficient services from the distributor.
