Abu Dhabi Police will use Belden's networking solutions to connect information systems.

Abu Dhabi Police has signed an agreement with networking specialist Belden to supply solutions to support operations for the police force.

Under the Memorandum of Understanding, Belden will make the full range of its copper and fibre solutions available to Abu Dhabi Police, and will also explore possible service partnerships.

The networking solutions will help to connect Abu Dhabi Police systems to and enable the police force to keep up with changing demands for modern law enforcement solutions and communications. ADP is currently testing the use of Belden 10GX cables to assess their suitability within its technical infrastructure.

The deal was signed by Brigadier Eng. Hussein Ahmed Al Harithi, Director General of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police.

As a recognized specialist in network and infrastructure solutions, Belden will be able to support our drive with the latest technical developments and leverage their expertise.

"We signed this memorandum of understanding with Belden, so we can explore the latest networking and connectivity technologies for our operations, including connectivity to our key operation centers. We will also apply the company's know-how to help improve the connectivity best practices within police stations and use its innovation lab for network related activities," he added.
