MoU signed to focus on smart city development and infrastructure projects

Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre (ADSIC) and UAE telco du have signed co-operation agreement to collaborate on smart city and smart apps development.

In the field of smart city and smart services, du and ADSIC are currently in discussions regarding the various areas they will cooperate in.

ADSIC and du will also align on the roll out of the WiFi UAE network, which provides free WiFi to users, as well as premium WiFi services. The two companies will also collaborate to strengthen the infrastructure for government and public sectors in Abu Dhabi.

"We have selected du based on the company's regional leadership in smart city technologies with a sound infrastructure capable of handling the traffic that nascent technologies will bring about. We look forward to a long and secure partnership with du," said His Excellency Rashed Lahej Al Mansoori, director general, ADSIC.
