Wynants will accelerate Canon’s growth in Qatar.

Canon Middle East has appointed Wim Wynants as general manager for Qatar.

In his new role, Wynants will lead Canon Office Imaging Solutions Doha, to strengthen the company's in-country presence across the region. In addition, Wynants will accelerate Canon's growth in the rapidly evolving Qatari market.

Wynants will also ensure that company provides local customers with more opportunities to receive direct advice on products and services from Canon professionals.

Naoshi Yamada, deputy managing director, Canon Middle East, said: "Wim's broad and diverse global experience is exactly what our organisation needs in Qatar to drive our business expansion. The Qatari market is growing at a rapid pace and we need a leader with the depth and breadth of Wim's experience to maximise our opportunities in this evolving market.

"This year Canon in Qatar aims to ensure that we have a strong and dynamic team. I am very excited to welcome Wim to the team as I know he will bring his brand of dynamism to our company." Yamada said.

Yamada added that Wynants embodied the entrepreneurial spirit Canon Middle East sought to further its business.

Wynants comes to Canon in Qatar with over 18 years of international management roles across Europe, Middle East, the USA, South East Asia and Africa.

Canon Middle East setup Canon Office Imaging Solutions Doha last year to cement its in-country presence and meet customers' demands through diversification of its business offerings.
