Silver Peak unveils new Global Partner Programme
New initiative to help resellers to accelerate customer adoption of software defined-WAN
Silver Peak, a provider of broadband and hybrid wide area networks (WAN) solutions, has announced the launch of the company's new Global Partner Programme designed to attract, educate and enable channel partners to capitalise on the burgeoning software-defined WAN (SD-WAN) market opportunity.
The new channel scheme is fundamental to Silver Peak's global go-to-market strategy, as it takes the complexity out of building WAN solutions for enterprises and service providers.
With the programme, Silver Peak is offering multiple new initiatives, each aimed at making the delivery of the company's premier SD-WAN solution seamless.
"Silver Peak is providing an unprecedented opportunity for resellers to help their customers reduce the high cost and complexity of MPLS networking by deploying broadband," said Bob Bruce, senior vice president of worldwide channel sales, Silver Peak. "By increasing our channel investments and building relevancy around the SD-WAN opportunity, Silver Peak will intensify its focus on helping partners acquire net-new accounts. Ultimately, this initiative makes doing business with Silver Peak even easier, which is the key to sustaining our leadership in the SD-WAN market."
Pierre Langlois, director, EMEA Channels and Strategic Partners at Silver Peak, said the launch of the new programme coincides with the appointment of FVC as the regional VAD for the company.
Langlois said FVC has distribution rights to the entire Silver Peak product array in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) except South Africa. "FVC has a solid footprint in Africa with offices in Kenya, Nigeria and Morocco, in addition to the strong reach in the Gulf," he said. "By appointing them as our distributor, we have made it easy for us to roll out this new Global Partner Programme."
He added that the new programme has three partnership levelsthat include Summit, Ascent and Registered. "As partners invest in Silver Peak and achieve specific milestones, they advance through the programme and receive additional Silver Peak support and benefits," he said.
Langlois pointed out that Silver Peak has added a new SD-WAN certification training for sales professionals and will complement it with an SD-WAN certification course for system engineers. "These online certifications enable partners and acknowledge them for their expertise in Silver Peak solutions," he said.
Aside from the training and new certifications, Silver Peak has also streamlined its partner engagement process and management through a dedicated partner portal. "Through Basecamp, Silver Peak's new easy-to-use partner portal, which has been designed to cut partner on-boarding time down while providing a single, on-demand destination for training and enablement, partners can quickly access the sales and marketing tools and support they need to help customers build a world-class SD-WAN," he explained.
