ASUS provides nearly 3,000 PCs to Ministry of Education

ASUS Middle East has completed the roll out of nearly 3,000 new all-in-one PCs for schools in the UAE as part of a PC replacement project.

The company was selected as official PC provider for the Ministry of Education, and along with partner TechForte has now deployed the ASUSPRO A4310 Business All in One PCs to replace existing hardware. The new all-in-one PCs were selected, the company said, because they have been designed to be easy to manage, and because the exceed the MIL-STD-810G military standard for durability.

Mahiuddin Khasru, regional sub head ASUS Middle East commented: "We are delighted to be providing so many schools, and the next generation of leaders in the UAE, the opportunity to utilize the ASUSPRO device which will certainly benefit the students, their education and help ignite their thinking. This partnership forms part of a concerted focus in the commercial sector for ASUS Middle East, where we are looking to broaden our reach and boost our growth in the region by utilizing the extensive range of products designed specifically for business and educational use."

Jeff Jacob, head of sales commercial, ASUS Middle East added: "Already this year as part of our commercial strategy, we won an Etisalat tender as well as the Ministry of Education in Oman, demonstrating the huge opportunity in the commercial sector, which we expect will contribute around 10% of regional PC sales this year. We look forward to broadening our scope and securing more commercial partnerships over the coming months."
